Memorial Day is May 30th, School is Closed
But, in a larger sense, we can not dedicate — we can not consecrate — we can not hallow — this ground.
The brave men, living and dead, who struggled here, have consecrated it, far above our poor power to add or detract. The world will little note, nor long remember what we say here, but it can never forget what they did here. It is for us the living, rather, to be dedicated here to the unfinished work which they who fought here have thus far so nobly advanced. Enjoy the freedoms their sacrifices have secured for us. School will be closed on Monday, May 30th, in honor of our fallen heroes.
Retirement Party for Mrs. Monji,
Thursday June 2nd at 2:45pm
Join us in the MPR on Thursday, June 2nd to celebrate the amazing career of Mrs. Monji and wish her all the best in her retirement. All are welcome to join us at 2:45 in the MPR. We will have a short program by our students, a slide show, a craft, an opportunity to write her your best wishes, cake, lemonade, lots of hugs and reminiscing.
If you know of any alumni students and families who would like to come and celebrate Mrs. Monji, please invite them and forward them this information.

Call For Submissions: Mt. Washington Made
We are looking for established artists and designers from the neighborhood and school community who would like to join us. A percentage of sales will go to the PTA.
Categories include jewelry, ceramics, housewares, art, clothing and children’s items.
Detailed information including a submission form will be available in the PTA box in the office as of Tuesday, May 24th. Once completed, please return the submission packet to the PTA box no later than June 3rd.

Lost and Found…Going, Going, Gone!
Please stop by the yard this week and pick up your children’s forgotten items – they will be hanging on the fence starting Tuesday morning.
There are dozens of jackets, sweaters, shirts and lunch boxes.
On Friday they will be taken down and donated. Come and get them!
Please don’t forget to LABEL your children’s clothes. It’s makes returning them a lot easier.
